I’ll start this blog by saying that I love my husband very, very much and in the past I’ve had some amazing and super thoughtful gifts from him……right that’s the legal disclaimer out the way…..
After 10 years together though and so many Birthdays, Christmases, Anniversaries and now Mother’s Days, I think it’s fair to say he’s given up on the thoughtful front, bless him. And I can’t blame him. He has got me and 4 daughters to buy for every year!
So this Mother’s Day, I thought I’d give him and the kids a gentle helping hand (read ‘full on shove in the back’), by pulling together a Wishlist of things I’d LOVE to receive, from some of my favourite local shops and makers. It contains something to suit every budget, just in case they’re not feeling flush. And the best bit, everything’s made and sold right on our doorstep. So even if they leave it until the day before, there’s no excuse for another bunch of flowers from the BP forecourt!!
So here’s my list, which I’m hoping might help you too. Maybe leave it open on your phone on your partners side of the bed, in the hope they might get the super, massive HINT! Or if you’ve got older children, maybe leave it in the fridge….it seems that’s where they spend most of their time!
